How To Earn $50 A Day With Adsense - Part 1/2

Hello, today I'd like to explain to beginners and intermediates how to earn $50 a day with Adsense. Why I say $50 a day, well because it's the amount I feel is correct to support yourself so you don't have to work for a boss or for customers. Of course this is just a figure and it is not suitable for everyone because some people have also family to support or are living in countries where the cost of life is much lower/higher.
For me $50 a day has always been a threshold from which I felt confortable living with. Of course the sky is the limit and there is no way I think $50 a day is good. It's just a CORRECT minimum for me, so that everyday when I earn more I am satisfied knowing I earn much more than what I'd need to earn a CORRECT living. For instance if I earn $350 with adsense I know that I indeed earned 350 / 50 = 7 days of a CORRECT income, so I earn 7 times more than I need. It means that many "savings" days in case something bad happens and there is no earnings for several days/weeks/months... That's just an example as my actual earnings varies much over the months. Anyway... Let's begin..
If you've read a few previous articles you know that I think that for good earnings traffic comes number one and that it depends on what you choose to write about, your content, your topic, your niche.
So in reality what comes first is the topic, then the traffic, then the ad placement. All that will optimize your earnings for the time you spend.
The ad placement, I will not stop optimizing before it reaches 5% which is not a high CTR but it is a correct one. Same for the CPC, I don't want a niche such as video games or desktop wallpapers, those are really too low CPC, I want a minimum average CPC of $0.1
So with those minimum average figures we can work out our minimum average eCPM, that is $5 ... it means for every 1,000 ad (page) impressions you should earn $5 minimum.
1,000 ad impressions with a CTR of 5% it's 50 clicks. 50 clicks at a CPC of $0.1 it's $5. Correct.
Now since we want $50 a day it's easy to work out that we need about 10,000 ad impressions per day.
As you may know or not, we often talk about our site's statistics in UV which means Unique Visitor. It is in fact one person who visits a site in 24 hours. It is determined by his/her IP and/or a cookie. But what that means is a unique visitor may come several time on your site during 24 hours, so one unique visitor can see one or several pages of your site, so the number of UV will always be smaller than the number of ad impressions.
I think that an average of 1.5 page views per unique visitor is CORRECT, not too much like on forums, and not too few. So we can take that figure as our goal.
So our goal in terms of unique visitors is 10,000 / 1.5 = 6666.67
Let's say 6,500 UV !!!
Now we know exactly what we want our site stats to look like in order to earn $50 a day with AdSense:
UV: 6,500
eCPM: $5
It's better to have goals if we want to achieve them! :-)
If you're really just starting with AdSense I've found several goals to achieve in order to motivate people, they are simple:
$1 a day, because that's simple, only about 10 clicks are required.
$3 a day, because it will mean you can be paid every month by adsense ($100 threshold)
$10 a day, because that's quite an achievement, about 100 clicks each and every days
$33 a day, because it means $1,000 per month, against psychological step
$50 a day, because it's good to have easy goals too (from 33 to 50 is actually easier than from 1 to 3!)
$100 a day, because then you're earning a lot from Adsense, and you are in the top 0.5% of the world if not less, let's be honest, anything higher than that is pure bonus.
--------
Now I need to take a break, I will continue this article on another page, it will be about what exactly to do to create a site which can eventually go over each goals from 1 to 50, by doing the least amount of work/time, but still there will be work and time needed. But with method, we can optimize the work/money ratio which is the ultimate goal for people earning money online, isn't it?
